I finally got into the derm this morning and got my prescreption of Proscar 5 MG (30 tablets) that will last for 4 months. I ended up paying $110 for it though, thats pretty expansive right? well whatever i just am happy that i got it. Also my Dr gave me a free 1 month supply of minoxidil, witch i thought was really really sweet, does anyone else get this kind of sh*t from there derm? Well anyway i will be giving you guys probably weekly updates so watch for those in the forum. I am going tobe using finasteride and minoxidil, and as for shampoo, i think i am going to go with Nizoral, however my Dr told me about The rogaine Shampoo. She told me it works really good with rogaine 5% Does anyone know anything about that, could it be much more effective? any thoughts or comments would help, thanks

I think the shampoo is called Progaine. It looks like it's just a waste of money -- nothing special. I would stick with T/Gel or Nizoral.

My derm did not give me a month supply of Rogaine, but he gave me a one week supply of Propecia. He told me to get on the big three. Currently I am taking finasteride and nizoral. I decided to see what the finasteride can do on its own, and later I will revealuate the situation to see if I need Rogaine.
