I'm not an expert, but I would be very suprised if the laser comb were able to work anywhere near as well as advertised.

There has been some quite convicing information posted on this forum as to why the concept may be sound, but the implementation in the comb itself appears to be very flawed.

Why not just expose your head to a laser pointer, or even cheaper, the sun, plenty of red wavelengths for free!

Why not? They are the same exact thing.

because i remember reading about a guy who tried it . he said he woke up with patches where he used it .
don't forget that laser is being used to remove hair too .

It was either your dream, or a dream he made up.

even if you don't believe that story , laser is also being used for hair removal how can you be sure that using a laser pointer wont have the same effect ?

Have you ever seen an IPL or Laser hair removal device?

They are the size of fridges, are liquid cooled and even then take time to charge between pulses. I don't think a laser pointer is quite that powerful.

it also hurts like hell :D

A "laser" is a concentration of electromagnetic waves of the same frequency. It can be different colors in the visible spectrum, or be outside of it. Laser pointer wavelengths, and laser removal wavelengths are all different.

so ?maybe pointer wavelength and hair removal device wavelength are different but they could be close enough when it comes to effect on hair .

i still think hair comb is a waste of money .

and so does laser clinics .

Balding is complex genetically as it is multigenic, however it is more akin to autosomal dominant in males and recessive in females. (Males need only one allele, while women need two). The previous notion that it is a sex-linked characteristic in terms of inheritance is not supported by inheritance patterns.
