Laser combs - anyone use them? Didn't know they do work...

I thought this stuff was hokey bs, but turns out lots of people have success with them, and laser combs are actually one of the few things working its way through FDA trials and is already something-or-other approved in Canada (so no moving this to the dead Experimental board).

Anyway, what is the lowdown on laser combs? I've seen prices that are absolutely all over the place, from under a hundred dollars to a few thousand or more. It sounds like you don't need to pay thousands of dollars to get one that really works, but do you need to spend hundreds of dollars? Is it really possibe to find (or easy to make) one for under a hundred like some people claim?

I have been thinking of one too. Some are really expensive but I found one that has 9 lasers, not mirrors like HairMax and is way less than $100, what do you think about it? Looks like a quality unit, total 45mw power.

I have a hairmax, the theory behind them of improving blood flow to the follicle is a nice idea but I think it's a scam. It didn't grow any more hair for me.

How long did you use it? Laser combs have thickened hair for some people.

I used it for 12 months every two or three days for twenty minutes, it made no differece to my diffuse thining. I've also tried the salon laser machines that the snake oils "sorry" hair loss clinics use. I used one of those machines once a week for 6 months with no improvement. Only the big three made any difference to my situation Elvis.

I am a very big Star Wars fan. Lasers work great! Just look at Chewbacca. He is definitley a walking advertisement for Laser treatment. I wish I had as much hair as he does. Anyway, I believe the lasers do enhance the effects of Propecia and Rogaine. I have had good results with laser therapy too. I think the land down has a good laser called the aculas laser. I highly recommend that one. :)

The guy on DateLine got results, but who knows if he was secretly popping Propecia.

Every since DateLine blew-up a truck to "prove" that said truck explodes upon contact, I've had pretty much no respect for them.

And they never said anything about testing their patients to make sure they weren't using anything else.
