The thickening you notice might be the the minoxidil solution sticking to your hair, or a placebo effect?

The whole idea behind minoxidil is that it helps your follicles feed better. So, the result should be thicker hair over time, but not after one application.

I have a few hair follicles that are coming alive, and the new terminal hair is thicker than my existing hair. I connect this to the minoxidil effect. It's nothing to get excited about, but it's a start.

I've been using the kirkland minoxidil for 2 weeks. I do not feel that it makes my hairs more greasy and it seems to dry within 15 min ( maybe because they are long and I am a diffuse thinner), but it definatly makes my hair ticker that for sure (probably the glycol that dry and stay on the scalp). Anyway it such a joy to have a product that make my hair looks so great :woot:, regrowth will only be a bonus.

ali - i dont think its a placebo effect because i was using rogaine foam last month and my hair did not thicken up with that, infact it looked worse after applying.... however, with kirkland minoxidil, when i apply it, my hair looks crap for the first 30 mins, but as it drys, the hair look a lot thicker.... its strange and i think it must have something that thickens your hair...
maybe glycol as Francois mentioned....
