ok guys so i really havnt been here regularly due to not caring about my hairloss anymore because i got diagnosed with vitiligo , anyways my story i been on propecia and nizoral for 5 months and my hair just didnt get better , thats when i got diagnosed and i stopped using it now im off propecia for 2months , the vitiligo isnt even stressing me at all , because 1. its not noticable at all , and 2. theres a chance i got diagnosed wrong because 2 other doctors say i didnt have it

anyway i got a blood test last week and my thyroid levels are good so thats good , im not gonna go back on finasteride , im going to be applying minoxidil on my head 1ce a night with nizoral and see how it goes.

i've calmed down a bit too. I think i realised my hairloss is not as bad as i originally thought even than im still losing it. Hey king did your eyebrows thicken up. I remember you said your eyebrows thinned on the meds. I've got some interesting news on that discussion. Im just using minoxidil and hairsignals and my eyebrows have seriously thickened up. Now i believe this to be down too not messing round with my hormones and the minoxidil. I keep getting a little bit in my eyebrows.

yeah my eyebrows all came back , i think it was due to minoxidil when i used it for 3 weeks , i had to stop because of my eyebrows now im starting minoxidil without ppg

Hi King,
I am responding to your comment:

"anyway i got a blood test last week and my thyroid levels are good so thats good ..."

my 11 yr developed alopecia in April, and to make a long story very short, we recently found he has Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease. You can have Hashimoto's and your thyroid panel can be normal - If you have alopecia, I would suggest having your Dr check specifically for Hashimotos. You can have antibodies for years and have a normal thyroid. Studies have shown that if you treat the hashimoto's, the disease can reverse itself. Also, as a note, in my research I have seen articles that say alopecia can be a symptom of hashimotos - though it took my asking for the blood test to find it out, my son's pediatrician insisted it was stress. We also found my son has low ferritin levels, which can cause hair loss. It was an article from this site - http://www.hairlosstalk.com/alopecia/di ... areata.php that gave me a list of blood test that eventually gave us his diagnosis.

My last suggestion would be to find a Doctor of Osteopathy - these are fully trained medical doctors who are more mindful of treatment the whole body and not just a symptom.
