Kevis/Pfizer connection

I heard on the radio and on the kevis website that pfizer is the distributor for this product in Europe. I called kevis and they confirmed this and said because of U.S. regulations, pfizer cannot market this in the U.S.

Anyway my point is since Pfizer is behind this product, does it mean that it is really effective? Should the admin of this website now include this product as an option? Has this product worked for anyone? I know this topic has been somewhat discussed before but in light of the Pfizer backing in Europe, maybe it should be brought back to the forefront and discussed more thoroughly. Any new info anyone has would be appreciated.

Yes, Pfizer does own the rights to Kevis. I have used this product in the past and liked the way it made my hair feel and look. It is not going to regrow hair, but does it act as an anti-androgen?? Possibly, although I really don't know. There has been some research and clinical studies conducted, but I would not really call them up to par (especially in comparison to many of the other anti-androgens). The stuff is mighty expensive also. What US regulations would hold pfizer back from marketing the product in the USA??? Ummmmmmmmmmmm........... Sounds like bs................

Thanks for the response viper,
When speaking to the kevis person on the phone, it is a real hard sell. They say that they can only offer 50% off for first time callers and pester you to no end. I made like my cell phone went dead after I got the initial info. They claim that their product blocks 5 alpha DHT from the hair follicle and bring up it being "better" than rogaine or propecia in that "it is not a drug". They also say you only need to use it for a year and after that once in a great while for "maintenance". I called several years ago but called again this time when the radio ad mentioned "guaranteed". Of course they dont guarantee your money back. But they say its "guaranteed" to work because of clinical studies.

I used it for 6 months but it did not help at all. I dont think so it is anywhere close to Propecia and minoxidil. Dont waste your money bro.
