Ketoconazole Long Application For More Lasting Effect

I heard another user on this thread say they were going to try an apply ket at night and leave it. At first I thought that probably will do nothing but then I thought when ever I apply the shampoo for the regular amount of time I instantly feel the the burning inflammation feeling on my crown go. So it got me thinking Im going to apply the shampoo itself without using any water everyday before bed and when I wake up. I just tried applying some of it on its own without any water: now right before I applied it, my scalp felt really inflamed, and sure enough it went as soon as I applied it.

Im thinking that without washing it out with water it may have a long lasting effect and act more like how a topical should absorbing into your skin over time. Now I'm not saying the fact that it gets rid of the heat and inflamation in my head means that its stopping hair loss but it seems plausible that it could help who knows how much if no ones really tried it long term. I know Ket has 2 things going for it, its an anti inflammatory of course but also an androgen blocker, so who knows guys but it may be worth a shot.

I heard another user

Let's look at the most important thing said here, this guy heard another user. That's some next level telepathy right here. When you can hear users through their posts, you're capable of some extreme mind reading. If you're capable of mind reading on that level, you need to read Brotzu lotion scientists and Follica scientists' minds to get the ingredients of their product and share it with us. Let's do this. 2018-2019 for better treatments? Nope, July 2017, let's end this right here. Go read some minds.

All jokes aside, I wouldn't leave in Ket shampoo for too long because it really dries my hair out and instructions say 3-5 minutes. I'm aware that those instructions aren't geared for hair loss I think it's for fungal infection or something. But I still wouldn't leave it in for too long even though some users mention they do.

I've been doing it for years.

Lather up Nizoral shampoo (just on the balding areas, no need for the whole head). Leave it on for 1/2-hour to an hour. Get a little more water on it again after the first 10 minutes to get more out of it.

Do it every 2 or 3 days. It helps. It also feels good.

It is harsh/dry on the hairs that you currently have on top. Small price to pay for keeping the follicles healthier & preserving more hair in the long run.

When I see how easily things go systemic on me personally (even voltaren gel causing stomach problems), I would be put off leaving highly toxic drugs on my skin for 24 hours in the long term.

Eating a couple of cheap fast-food meals per week is probably much worse for you.

What side have ever really been reported with keto? I refuse to start finasteride even minoxidil because of the sides. But I use keta religiously and haven't experienced or read about any consistently reported side effects whatsoever

Ketaconazole is barely or not absorbed systemically after topical administration.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3280211

and:

Plasma concentrations of ketoconazole were not detectable after topical administration of Nizoral 2% Cream in adults on the skin. In one study in infants with seborrhoeic dermatitis (n = 19), where approximately 40 g of Nizoral 2% cream was applied daily on 40% of the body surface area, plasma levels of ketoconazole were detected in 5 infants, ranging from 32 to 133 ng/mL.

Yes I agree, Swoop, that backs up my claim. That brings up a question I have about RU. I felt like I read very similar studies and articles about RU demonstrating that almost nothing gets systemically absorbed and that it had pretty much been proven mathematically that there couldn't be side effects due to so little systemic absorption. Yet, alas, here I read claim after claim in the forums about people suffering from RU sides. Doesn't seem like they're as bad as fina, but they are definitely there nonetheless.

Well.. https://www.infona.pl/resource/bwmeta1.element.elsevier-5d8b8e9a-87d8-3665-a251-1f766eb8cef1

4 macaque monkeys on 5%. In 3 of those monkeys plasma levels were detected 10-20ng/ml. So they couldn't find any detectable levels on 1 monkey who was on 5% RU. In all 3 monkeys who were on 0,5%, they couldn't find anything.

Normal plasma levels of testosterone in healthy male are like what ~600ng/dl? That's a testosterone level of 6ng/ml? This means that the concentration of RU58841 would be actually greater than testosterone itself in a human. If we take this line of thinking it's perfectly logical that some people will get side effects with RU.

Then again these monkeys differ from us obviously. For instance topical minoxidil absorption is greater in animals (also monkeys) than in humans.

Nonetheless this study and anecdotal reports, do show that RU58841 is no magical compound.

Going lower in concentration % might help to avoid systemic absorption, like 2.5-3% of RU58841. One cohort was actually 2.5% in the human studies:

It's all about trial & error anyway I guess.

I have ketoconazole tabs wanted to make a hydroalcoholic solution but it doesn't seem to disolve so well in vodka.
