Linked is a study on Japanese patients with Androgenetic Alopecia who used Ketoconazole cream only to achieve impressive regrowth. My question is how come I don't see more patients using this cream as a treatment instead of using the shampoo. I personally can only use the shampoo 2-3 times a week and it kind of makes my hair look like sh*t the day after, kind of like dry straw. Looking at the regrowth in this study is it absurd to think someone with mild Androgenetic Alopecia could maintain their hair with daily use of the cream due to its anti androgen effect? Maybe I'm missing something. Many here claim the shampoo is borderline useless while this study shows that the cream can create real results. I'm probably around a Norwood 1.5 and my hair has slowly crept that way since I was 21 (24 now). I have a full head of hair for now but do have some recession so I'm planning ahead as my maternal grandpa is Norwood 7.
