Like an idiot, I was using a Keto 2% shampoo almost every day for the last 4-5 weeks - the result is horrifying: the majority of my hair has turned shockingly limp and vellus like - ok, who am I kidding - they HAVE in fact turned vellus. Suddenly the strands are a lot thinner (all over, not regionalized) and difficult to comb into any shape because of their limpness. Prior to this dangerously frequent regime, the hair fall wasn't that bad - now it's ridiculous (avg. fall count up from 10-15 per wash to 60-70 per wash).
It wasn't this thin, limp and burned even 4 weeks back, when I had just introduced the Keto 2%. Do you think if I discontinued the Keto 2% for a moderate period, and resumed with a Keto 1% twice a week routine, my hair would recover from the Keto Burn?
Or is the Keto Burn permanent and I'm doomed for good?
(Note: By burn I'm referrring to the phenomenon of hair loss and excessive thinning due to ket overusage. As far as sensations go, Ket didn't cause no itching, burning no nothing.)
