Just used minoxidil for the first time today (side effects?)

So today I started using minoxidil (5%) for the first time and applied 1ml early in the day and 1ml tonight.

Both times my head felt a little hotter (but not uncomfortably so) and I also felt slightly light headed. It was easily noticeable but not painful or overbearing.

Is this normal or is it a sign to discontinue use?

slightly lightheaded, i think it has something to do with blood flow, its fine though, its one of the documented side effects

if it really worries you just call your doctor

Well, do you really think that if you come up to a regular Doctor and tell him "Hey Doctor I'm using minoxidil and feel a bit lightheaded, is that normal" he can help you out?

Not all docs, but many of them / or they just have no clue =/

Minoxidil is pretty well tolerated aside from occasional dryness/irritation of the scalp. I've not noticed feeling light headed but I'm sure you're fine.
