Stop telling people to go for a transplant. Hair transplants are the best way to look like "the guy with hair plugs" in 10 years.

Hair transplants don't solve problems. It's a roll of the dice. The only people that are successful cases are Norwood 3s that stay norwood 3s for 20 years. Otherwise you're going to look like a chia pet no matter what surgeon you go to. Educate yourself on the topic before you tell people advice. He needs to get on finasteride but in my opinion he should just buzz it with that amount of loss.

Educate myself ? Well i'm not that educated on this topic to be honest, but saying that only Norwood 3s are the only cases that work is plain stupid. And it's roll of the dice if you're an idiot. If you choose your surgeon wisely and have the required amount of money then it would be 100% successful. I've not been here for so long, but i've seen popular users like WhitePolarBear he was Norwood 5 or more and he got his hair transplant successful you know why ? Because he isn't idiot. And quit with "Embracing the bald look" Stop deluding the dude i don't think finasteride will do any sh*t with that amount of hair it's useful to slow it down until he gets his transplant + no offence, but this guy's head shape won't look good if he was slick bald, so "Hit the gym, bruh" "Be confident" And "Just shave it, bruh" Won't do anything for him. My advice was logical to solve the problem, but your advice was just to make yourself feel better about yourself. No wonder you have too many dislikes already.

Kid, you're not very bright are you. First of all getting a hair transplant without taking finasteride is legitimately retarded because you'll lose hair around your transplant. Second of all I've researched this topic for years, seen countless pictures, videos, reviews. No hair transplant is EVER 100%. You have 50,000 follicular units on a normal unbalding head and you have MAYBE 8000 safe donor follicular units. I'm not a mathematician but I think 50,000 doesn't equal 8000 right? And don't tell me I should stop tell people to "just buzz it", because that's a viable option for many. It's better to be buzzed, and look clean that cling onto advanced balding. That's my opinion, which I share. The difference between my opinion and yours is that mine doesn't ruin the persons life if they follow it. You don't know WTF you're talking about. Sorry kid there's no santa clause when it comes to hair transplants. My point was that Norwood 3s look the best because that can be the final result for someone for 20 years. If you're a Norwood 4+ with crown thinning, you're going to lose more hair and quickly.

Got to agree with @Crystalclear12 we only see the 1 year mark on hair transplant patients, which is basically it's peak. we never see them 10-20 years down the line when the only hair on the top of their skull is the whispy 1000 grafts they had inserted via hair transplant.

Ya dude. All these kids dense packing to a Norwood 1, literally using up half their grafts for a strong unbalding look just doesn't make sense to me. When you're 35-40 you're still going to want to look good, the only difference is most men will be receding at that age which looks natural and they will have an odd transplanted headband with thin weeds behind it, being known behind your back as "the guy that got hair plugs"

get on meds and use minoxidil...you can at least stop its progression and hopefully get some regrowth and if you stabilize it i.e. stop losing it for a period of time you can consider a hair transplant if you have a stable donor area especially if it is just mostly recession. if you are defuse this is different hair transplant are riskier.

Don't panic you are not in your 20s some guys are this progressed in 20s..so maybe its not super aggressive IF you get on meds and minoxidil.

Just slow it down or stop it.

So I've been avoiding admitting it for years, rather doing something about my hair I simply pretended it wasn't bad..

I'm 35 next month, my brother accepted his fate and is as bald as fish so he shaved it all, he's only 30..
