I had ball ache for about a week, then it went away and i haven't really had any since.

No initial shedding, things stayed bad for about a month, and then the itchiness on my scalp started to disappear.

It seems to me general hair shedding has slowed down....hopefully I'll start growing some new hairs soon. Coming up on two months here.

Just started today..
feeling a bit dizzy, with some minor rash like symptoms, nothing serious and reminiscent of sides I was getting on SP, which I was taking up until now.

Well hopefully this thinning I've noticed this week is only because I finally took pictures and not because it has picked up this last week.

And also I'm really getting nervous about my hairloss the last 2 months thats why I started Finesteride and I am really considering not waiting the 6 months to see results and trying Rogaine to see if I can maintain or regrow my hairline...I don't want to lose anymore then next 6 months...any thoughts on that?

Trust the finasteride. It'll stop your hair loss, and possibly re grow any loss which happened recently. There is no point adding minoxidil to the regime, you could find finasteride alone will restore a full head of hair, but you will never know whether it was the finasteride or the minoxidil, so you could be wasting money and time applying minoxidil every day when all the gains could possibly be from finasteride.
That’s why I'm on dutasteride alone and not minoxidil, as ill evaluate the effectiveness of each treatment in annual intervals. I believe that’s the best way to find out what is actually yielding results, and what isn't.

I see a lot of people here starting or being a few months into finasteride....not seeing any seasoned vets which leads me to question whether those people gave up all hope and left these forums or if they have had success and completely forgot about these forums.

Hey there
honestly I would advise starting minoxidil within a month or so into finasteride IF you have lost a good amount of hair recently
otherwise just subside untill the finasteride takes its effects

the thing is though you have to be really patient, when it comes to hairloss, no pain no gain is in full effect.

you will shed alot before you actually see the benefits of finasteride, up to 16 months for some people, as little as 3 for others, depends on the person.
If it gets really scary, then I would try minoxidil, as it does help increase the growth phase, hence can help the finasteride shedding, by elongating the process.

you should also start using 2% nizoral to help with anti immune issues and dandruff
