Hoping you guys can help. I'm36 year old male who has been taking Propecia for 6 years. The results have been great but the sexual disfunction has gotten pretty bad so I quit cold turkey 5 days ago. I started getting light headed and my energy started getting zapped a day after quitting and neither have subsided. Anyone else have the same experience or intel on when it may go away? I realize I probably should have weened off it but too late now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steve.

Half-life of finasteride is 6-8 hours. Enzymatic action is around 30 days in normal metabolism.

I think it may be all in your head. I've missed days with Propecia and definietely didn't have any symptoms, as far as I know it would take some time for it to be completely out of your system.

OP, did you go to a doctor to get your sexual dysfunction checked out? How do you know its not something serious? How do you know its propecia after seven years? Even if you are a doctor you should not be diagnosing yourself.

Also, how do you know you are feeling light headed and low energy due to stopping propecia?

You are not doing yourself any favors.

Seems to be so many doctors on this site diagnosing themselves, I might as well throw my diagnosis out there. The most likely situation is that you were not suffering anything from propecia when you were on it, and you are not suffering anything now due to stopping it. Sorry if I sound like a dick.

Yeah if you really want answers or explanations you should see a professional if you can afford it.
