I've been on finasteride for almost two months now and seen my crown and top has really become shitty over the two months, it was a little thin, but after starter finasteride it has gotten very thin in the middle topp and crown..I use minoxidil on my front so it has gotten a little thicker, but still quite bad on the left side..But because crown and top really stinks know I almost gave up last night..so you guys...any advice..should I start with minoxidil on top, or will I get back the hair on top for the two last months on finasteride?

feel like this sh*t getting me real depressed..didn't even care to go to lecture today.
Been dreaming all kinds of shitty dreams all night hehe..mostly of jelling at my grandfather who is the only baldy in the fam..quite disturbing

My routine is finasteride and minoxidil liquid at night(till the bottle is empty, then foam), foam in the morning.

Body shop ginger shampoo with P-O ever other day. And just bought t/gel original but it really leaves my head feel dirty and hair bad. Any advise on the shampoo routine? would the t/gel actually give me something that the P-O wouldent?

I been considering a buzz cut just so I wouldn't see the thinning spots and not have to deal with my hair every morning, but Im concerned that everybody could see that Im thinning because of the thinning on top...............And it would be real drag if I cut my hair and that was the last time could have lots of hair

Just hang in there and be patient. In my first few months I wanted results immediately...but then realized that I just had to not think about it too much and just give it some time. I have been on finasteride for almost 6 months now and I didn't really notice any differecnce until at least 3.5 months. What I did notice is that the finasteride made my existing hair feel a bit thicker and healthier. I did have a little regrowth on the crown area but not a lot. So, I added minoxidil foam after about 4 month on the finasteride. I think I'll have to wait at least a couple more months to see if the minoxidil does anything.

As for the T/Gel Original, it probably has little benefits for hair loss. However, I use it simply because I have scalp irritation and flaking, and it is the most effective thing I have used. If you have no scalp irritation or if you are able to control it with something else like the Body Shop shampoo, I doubt the T/gel with coal tar is going to give you any increased benefits. It is definitely drying to the hair, but I only have to use it once or twice a week, so it's not so bad.
