Greetings everyone, I've been reading posts for about 2 months now and finally joined. This forum hair alot of great information and I would like to take part in sharing my personal successes and failures in dealing with hair loss.

I am also apart of other Hairloss Forums such as Regrowth and Hair Loss Help.

I am 27 years old and mainly a diffuser. My hairloss is thinning all over the top of my head, mostly in the temples and just starting in the vertex. Basically just thinning though with moderated loss. I have blonde hair.

My current regiments is as follows:

Propecia :: 1 mg everyday. Been on Propecia for a little over 2 years and do believe it has helped me "slightly" maintained my hair. Definitely no regrowth but I believe I would have lost alot more hair if I was not on it.

Nizoral 2% :: Just purchased. Begining treatments now, 3 times a week.

Naturals (everyday, only been on for about a month) :: Biotin - 5 g
Green Tea/Grape Seed - 200/100 mg
Stinging Nettles - 1000 mg
R-Lipoic Acid - 100 or 200 mg

Any Ideas on what I could do to put more power into my regiment? I'm thinking of starting the Rogaine Foam but only as a last resort. I tried the liquid Rogaine years ago and did not like it. It was messy and I didnt like applying it twice a day. I work in the bar/nightclub industry so its a pain to do it at night.

Thanks for responses in advance.[/b]

Now, I know you probably aren't HAPPY with your hairline and/or hair density, but if you are at least satisfied with your hairline and hair density then stay off the minoxidil. NO treatments will give you a perfect Norwood, so maintenance of a decent Norwood by simply popping one pill a day is pretty much an ideal situation.

You might consider a copper peptide spray? Folligen and Tricomin are the two I would recommend deciding amongst, each has pros and cons, but both are good, solid help for the scalp.

If you want some regrowth to thicken the thin areas, you should use minoxidil. It will be a burden, but it can give you very nice results.

I added the foam recently. I had the same problem with Rogaine like seven years ago, looked greasy and bugged the crap out of me.

What I do is add the foam, and then style the hair, mostly just moving it around with my fingers, about 20 minutes after I put the foam in. Looks decent if you just wait a bit. And if I am going out and cannot wait, I don't do the foam 2x a day I do it later that night or something. Too early for me gauge results but my wife says it looks better up top.

charlie, I would add some laser therapy and rogaine foam to your treatment. And when Revita shampoo is released try that too.

Well, tanks and airplanes and howitzers would certainly add more power to your "regiment"! :D

I agree with what Gardener said: one of the copper peptide products would be a good addition. You might even consider one of the Proxiphen products (Prox-N or even prescription Proxiphen), if you have the money. They're fairly expensive.

LoL...

Charlie,

How long have you been taking 5mg of Biotin and what are your results? Furthermore what brand are you taking, capsules, tablets, etc?

Been on Biotin in one form or another for a about 6 months to a 1 year. Now I consistenly take it every day and believe it helps grow my hair faster and healthier. It's good for healthy nails too. My nails seem to be growing almost twice as fast. Its not going to regrow hair but it helps...

Haven't commited to the foam yet. Im worried about styling my hair with it on my scalp.

Laser therapy? Maybe...Any advise on a product?
