just got Proscar.. 1/4 pill?? gotta be kidding me

Just started on my hair recovery with 2 of the big 3 (Proscar and nizoral) These little blue pills are TINY!! Im supposed to divide this thing into 4 parts? Is this for real? So this is really Proscar?

Save a lot of hassle and buy a pill cutter, most chemists will sell them.

If you insist on using a knife, then use a clear polythene bag, and cut the pill inside tha bag, it stops half the pill flying across the room and being eaten by the cat.

Um, the doctors dont make a dime for the medications that you take. The money goes to insurance companies, pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. Unless, of course, you mean Dr. Lee and Dr. Proctor and other's who formulate topical medications. I bet they've made more than a dime.

Well it's a fairly uniqe prescription, which in my case is eaxctly what I'm looking for! It certainly seems to be doing the trick...

When it's divided up, Proscar is *much* cheaper per month than Propecia.

Propecia has 1mg of Finasteride per tab (The good stuff), where Proscar has 5mg per tab, so dividing a Proscar into fifths gives the same dosage of Finasteride from one pill that you would get from 5 Propecia tabs.

Goto a drug store and get a pill cutter--makes it a little easier and more uniform in terms of dose. And using my prescription plan I pay about $60/year for proscar vs hundreds of dollars for propecia.

Because Propecia is in 1mg form. It's the dose that they tested with that gave the best results. Proscar however is in 5mg and is supposed to be used to treat the prostate. Although both are the same, people still buy Propecia.

That's why I buy anadin.
