I couldn't get the Sport Max, as it wasn't on Amazon anymore, so I got the Walker Xtreme.

Quick question: Will using this product in any way increase the messiness that comes with removing/cleaning tape after detaching the system?

Walker extreme is not a scalp protector it's an adhesive/glue.

I've been wanting to try it as it's supposed to be the latest and greatest from Walker. Unfortunately The Limited reviews I've seen about it say it is worse than ultrahold.

Sorry, it's called Scalp Protector Thick.
Okay that's much better. That's the one just below Max hold sport. Good reviews on it. For all intensive purposes it could be the same thing just relabeled. No, it does not increase the messiness, all it does is put a barrier between the adhesive and your scalp. This way Try with and without... For some people it makes a huge difference, for others it makes zero. I feel I get a few extra days.... Depends all on your body chemistry... I have never heard of it causing a problem or anything negative.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I even applied it. It's the dab on. Didn't feel anyway juice hit my scalp when I was pressing it on.

Also, does using scalp protector interfere w my process of adhesion? I spray my tape w alcohol before fitting and adhering to buy myself repositioning time

You should Prime the Dabber. Push down on the button shake a little so that the Dabber itself has the product on it and then you just dab on your head... when it dries you'll seat that it's on there as it will be very shiny. No it's not going to affect your adhesion in a negative way only potentially positive. I'm not a big fan of using alcohol on tape. I know it gives you a little extra time but it does dilute/alter the adhesive... albeit less so with 99% alcohol. But you must remember 91% alcohol is 9% water and it will not perform as well as it could have without being diluted.

I know but, so far, I need that extra buying time

I'm a big proponent of using scalp protector. My response was to your query of whether or not it causes problems. NO, it can only cause positive or no changes.... Not negative.

Also, it makes it a little counterproductive the extra day or two you'll get out of scalp protector you'll lose by diluting it with alcohol.

I also had issues with this thick product...kept dabbing without success...I had the other walker protector (regular one) so I used that one to dilute the thick one. It is fairly easy to unscrew the dapper...Now I get the product flowing...

Like I had said earlier, you need to Prime the Dabber. After you're done applying you need to clean the Dabber with alcohol or else is just going to harden and make it impossible to reapply. The answer is not to change the formula of a good product by adding to it or diluting it.
