Just Got Blood Work Done- A Little Concerned

Hey guys,

I've been on finasteride for 3 months and just got bloodwork done. I started doing .5 EOD, and gradually worked my way up to .5 a day. My blood work is a little funky.

My DHT is in the low 20's, obviously.
My total serum testosterone is 720 (reference 264-916)
Thankfully, my estradiol is at a low 8 (reference is 7.5-42.6)

However, my free testosterone is pretty darn low, its at 5.8 (reference is 9.3-26.5).

EDIT: I think I should mention that a few days after finasteride my free T was 133 and my estradiol was 24


I was just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and could give me advice. Your input would be very appreciated!

Finasteride raises free t

So yout free t was even more fucked before u started finasteride

This is just 9 months in, there are no long-term studies on hormonal changes.

What i dont understand - how does finasteride raises estrogen then?

I thought Telogen Effluvium reason for that is that finasteride raises the free t lvl which gets aromatised into estrogen?

Testosterone produces less DHT when on finasteride, so it has three other choices.

More testosterone, more estrogen, more SHBG, all of which happen on finasteride.
