just saw this in a random post, and its so rare (but so nice!) to find people posting after on propecia for a long time... so i thought i would throw this up there to boost some spirits. enjoy! and thanks so much for your post!

I started using finasteride when I was 19 and first started to notice that I was losing my hair. I'm 26 now, and I have a full head of hair. You really can't even tell if it's thinning if it's soaking wet.

So yeah, I had some regrowth, and I've kept things to this point.
It's been 6.5 years, and I'm in pretty good shape.

I periodically use 5% minoxidil. I might apply it every other day. Maybe .5 mL. Usually after showering.

its true you can't believe everything you read. but what's the point of this forum if you are just going to regard everything you read as a lie.

Nah, I went back and read the original posters post and he doesnt seem like he's bullshitting. Perhaps he didnt have male pattern baldness at 19 and was just over-paranoid, but i'd say the most likely scenerio is he did, and finasteride has worked great for him thus far. I only hope the rest of us have just a good experience with the drug.

Plus im a hairy bastard and i heard finasteride works the best on us hairy bastard's :yeah:
