anyone here been browsing for a while and still hasnt started treatmeant.

Ive been looking at this site for a bout 5 months now and im yet to commit to any real treatmeant. Im on nizoral 2% only, no finasteride or minoxidil. I REALLY WANT TO START finasteride, but seems there are more sides than success on this site, and also people that stick up for finasteride will still admit some sort of side.

So anyone else here been browsing for a while?

That is simply because the hundreds of thousands of folks if not more having success have no reason to post here, while the minority with sides or finasteride isn't working for tend to post on hair loss forums. You cannot let things that you read here influence your decision to start finasteride. Look at the facts, talk to your doctor, and go for it.

I'm sure alot of people look here... read up .... treat themselves and move on. There are select few that actually like to socialize and participate because it interests them. Most just wanna grow it back.
If people run into problems or hit walls then they look for help hence why your always going to see more problems then good on forums such as this. Thats why i try to keep my progress updated to show that there is good.

Most people don't speak out unless theres something wrong.

Clearly negativity is more common on baldness forums, but I personally believe that the biggest issue is in regards to the fact that people define "success" in very different terms. Some people don't think the treatment succeeded unless they grow back every hair while others consider it a huge success just to slow down their hairloss.
IMO, slowing down my hairloss has been enough to consider finasteride and minoxidil treatment a success. Of course, I get proscar which costs me about $50 a year and use minoxidil just once a day on my hairline because that is what I am comfortable with, perhaps you will only be comfortable using nizoral, that is for you to decide.

yeah ive been reading this forum for quite a long time as well. i was always affraid to start treatments cause i thought i would just worry too much about hairloss. finally decided to go see a Doctor, and even though it didnt turn out as i expected i feel a thousand times better just knowing im doing something about it.
you find all the complaining in this forum because most people who have sucess dont want to bother anymore coming back here and spend their time to share sucess with other poeople.

Look at the clinical data on finasteride, not the anecdotes.
