I'm a new user on this site but I've been looking around for about a year now. I'm 30 years old, Currently a Norwood 2.5 I guess not 100% sure. With diffuse thinning all over. I have been on Propecia pretty much since it came out with great results and also added 5% minoxidil. I had no problems with this regimen until about July of 2006 when I noticed a HUGE shed. So I found this forum and started looking around to see what would be the logical next step. I started using Nizoral and Spectral DNC in January of this year. But so far the results have been minimal. I think that the shedding has stopped but it's hard to tell. When I look in the mirror under bright lights, I can see through my hair all over the top of my head. So what I'm looking for is some advice from the experts on here on what to try next.

I would say make sure you are taking propecia on an empty stomach same time every day. Two, use 2% Nizoral for ten minutes total or more a week. Next that's all I got for now. Ohh yeah I love Tricomin and I think it's bringing back my temples.

huge problem not using Nizoral for so long. I did almost the same thing but at least I used it just not enough.

Thanks for the tips. I have been using Nizoral more the past 2 weeks. 4 days per week. It's hard to use it every day because it dries my hair out so bad. Also, I have ordered Revita and should be getting it any day now and hopefully I can use that 5 days a week and Nizoral the other two days. I do have Tricomin and use it sporadically, I remember reading somewhere on here that you're not supposed to use it right after you use minoxidil. I don't know if that's true or not, so I really was only using it in the afternoons about 3x a week, between my minoxidil applications. Also, I've decided to switch to dutasteride, and hopefully see some results. Thanks again.

You switch to dutasteride you won. Nizoral is three time a week tops. Leaving it in 5 minutes each time.

I don't think you have anything more to worry about.

Thanks for all the input guys. It's very much appreciated. I can't remember the exact date that I started my original regimen, but I know I was somewhere between 22 and 23, so overall I've been on it for 8 years and some change. But not 100% sure. So for all you guys that are thinking about getting on finasteride, I highly recommend it. It really did do wonders for me. I'll find some old pics so you can compare my before and after. Also, I did receive my Revita and have been using it since Tuesday. I've been pre-washing with Revivogen then using the Revita, so I don't have to use so much of it. Then conditioning with the Revivogen conditioner. I plan on doing this 5 days, then 2 days of Nizoral to see how it goes. Also, I have ordered dutasteride too and hopefully be getting it soon. I took some pics, but not quite sure how to put them directly in my posts. Otherwise I'll put them up on image shack. This way I can track my progress and hopefully get some feedback from everyone.
