..of jackass infamy. what would he be considered on the norwood scale? a 2ish, right? think he might lose it someday?
my hairline is pretty similar to his, maybe a bit worse over the past month or two. maybe a bit thinner in the forelock area.

I guess hes about a 2 alright. Getting worse depends on genetics. There is no way we could tell.

Actually getting "worse" is not necessarily dependent upon genetics, but rather your CELLS continuing to read your blueprint for life (genes).

It has long been thought that genetics (genes) control life however to throw a spanner in the works, genetics are merely the blueprint (instructions) to achieve the outcome should your cells choose to read that blueprint and to what extent.

What influences your cells is their environment both internally and externally.

This is a fascinating proposal just think about it! It essentially means that in the theory of the context that we "influence" our cells and ultimately our biology.

You will no doubt hear more about this in the near future within the scientific and medical field alike.

Truly profound statement : What influences your cells is their environment both internally and externally.

I've been thinking along these lines for a whle, this would explain a lot of things. Perhaps the environment is influenced more negatively for those things that have been loosely linked to hairles that we do in excess, eg masturbation, smoking, drugs etc etc.

And these cells are not only influenced from your internal or external environment but also on your parents genetic cell history and environments.

Re-seeding,

Yes, I tend agree.

The fact that we influence our cells and control our entire environment I find to be intriguing.

It is all matter of perception.

about Johnny:

Yes, he is a 2 on the Norwood scale. But the rest of his hair looks really good and thick, maybe he isn´t balding but just developed a mature hairline.

Yeah, although in some cases you can see through his hairline. His hair is a bit like robbie williams (english singer).

I suscribe to the 'mature hairline' opinion. I bet we never see Johnny or Robbie get any worse.

On frontal pics you can see the U-shape of his hairline. Nothing really bad, but it definetly matured.

Not a thing wrong with his hairline. Sure it may have matured. But personally I dont consider that in any way a bad thing. In fact it can look better then a straight hairline IMO

I agree nw2 often looks more masculine than nw1 which is why I dont understand people who receed to nw2 and act like its the end of the world. Most adult men not going bald are nw2.

His hairline may be a "matured" receded one, but it's pretty thick and doesn't look like it's in a process of receding. He's one of those guys who looks really good with a NW2 hairline. Although the peak of his hairline is quite a bit lower than most receders'......that certainly helps.

yes for Johnny I would say he actually looks better than he would if he had a straight across hairline...he has such a boyish face that it adds a touch of maturity to him..just like Johnny Depp too....

yeah, i actually like my hairline a lot. i'm just worried about thinning.

a question about the interesting points made by so and re-seeding... you mention masturbation, smoking, etc, as external factors. could excessive combing be included in that list. there was a time in my life when i used a fine tooth comb multiple times a day. i've since eased up on both that and hair-dye. i've been wearing a hat, at least until i can get to a comfortable point again.

I thought exactly the same. Maybe he just spent a night of partying hard. I don´t know. Hairline also seems to head towards a Norwood 2.5 .
