Jayman... dutasteride question

Hey Jayman.. you are a moderator now I hear?

I started on dutasteride twice a week with finasteride on the other days.

I have been on this for about 3 weeks.

I have noticed a dramatic increase in shedding.

I know that it is normal to experience a shed when first starting a treatment but I feel somewhat freaked out about this.

Do you believe that it is possible that my body is not responding well to this drug and it is harmful to my hair? Is this even possible?

Anything that you could tell me would be great.

I am sure I am just being an annoying idiot with this sshit, as it is normal to shed with new treatments. (I just need to talk about it I guess)

no it's normal to shed a lot. i shed a lot in september after 4-5 weeks on it and right now i'm going through another shed where i can see more hair on top. my hair started looking great in the past month until two weeks ago again so i think my hair is just cycling again and so it's looking a bit worse. as time goes on the sheds will become less frequent and differently synchronized so i don't think it's anything to worry about. but if you are concerned you should talk to your doctor.

it's really really unlikely that it's harming your hair.
