Well, I’ve done the right thing and searched the forum and found only one, uninformative post on this topic, so can anyone here comment, assist or otherwise proffer their expert opinions (the old hands - HairLossTalk.com, Gardener, Bryan etc in particular).

You would all be relatively familiar with the Jason Thin-To-Thick range – Cassin has been raving about the shampoo for ages. I recently bought some and love the stuff, and am now thinking of purchasing the matching conditioner to use in conjunction. However, I noticed when browsing sites on the net that the Thin-To-Thick range also contains an “Elixirâ€￾. While I understand that this would be an utterly unproven treatment and that I would never expect “regrowthâ€￾ (as such) from the product, would there be any benefit in using it? Are the ingredients ones that could only be beneficial for the recovery of my hair?:

As you can see, it only costs $5 to $6 US and I’d be happy to comb something like that through my hair of a morning, or even try to use it as a light styling aid…

Cheers

It certainly has a lot of good stuff in it for 6 bucks. I think I'll try it. Thanks for the link. I've never heard of it but I've been using Jason's tree tea shampoo and conditioner and like it very much.

if you have sensitive skin proceed with caution. i used the elixer and it broke me out horribly and irritated my scalp. i've also read that prolonged use of comfrey (even topically) can possibly lead to liver damage (not sure about the validity of those claims, but at the very least comfrey is a skin sensitizer). best of luck and hope it works for you. the thing that bothers me about Jason products though is they are so economical and seem for the most part to be loaded with such good ingredients, but they never seem to deliver results. also- if you try to e-mail the company- they will simply blow you off if you have a product inquiry (so basically their customer service sux!)

Hmmm… Does anyone else have any views on this product? Given that it’s only $6 or so per bottle, I wonder whether it’s worth adding into my regimen?

Many of the listed ingredients sound like they should help - but - you never know how much and in what percentage those ingredients are mixed.

There may not be enough to do anything (as may have been the case w/ me and revivogen - a great sounding product that actually exacerbated my hairloss while I was on it).

Springing for a $6 bottle to experiment with probably wouldn't kill your hair - and who knows, you might like it.

I wouldn't bother w/ it though (then again - there's not enough room in my regimen for another topical).

When it came time for me to add another topical - I gave SuperZix a try. 2 1/2 months now and no complaints.
