i started using rogaine about 2 yrs ago and then stopped. about 6 months later i noticed some thinning on my crown area...

i am pretty sure that if i had continued using minoxidil then i would never have thinned as much as i did. i started propecia about 11 months ago and must say that my hair has improved. i did shed initially but it has recovered pretty well. My question is does anybody think i should give minoxidil another go or do you think propecia will continue to thicken up and rescue my thinner hair?

sounds like you should just stick to propecia if it seems to be working. No need to get your hair hooked on rogaine if it doesnt need it right now. If you notice over the next year that it gets increasingly worse then start back in with rogaine. Im relatively new with this but thats my two cents. I figure dont try to fix what isnt broken yet

ok, but do you think there is a good chance that propecia will thicken up my crown area anymore?

i never gave minoxidil a chance because 1.) i kinda paniced and thought it was a quick solution 2.) never knew site like this existed so had no education on the treaments available.

Hey bilbo, how much regrowth do you need? I couldn't stop myself from jumping onto the foam, I'd read so much about good results and knew that finasteride wasn't going to achieve the results I wanted on its own despite it working well, the foam ravaged my density in the area I applied it but I can see lots of new small hairs growing so I'm still very optimistic.

i have quite fine hair but when wet the thinning is more noticable at the crown. i think if the finasteride keeps on reversing the miniturisation then it won't be noticable at all but i just wonder how long i should give it before the introduction of the foam.

if you can commit to the applications then id get on it now. it is the most effective topical. you could even swap for the ac crew if time is a problem
as the ac wont do anything for your crown.
