I've been taking hairloss way too seriously!

Today I returned to my hometown and went to the favorite bar/pub/club where my entire highschool alumni always show up in huge numbers the day before the thanksgiving. I was so worried on the way that I was going to be the guy that showed up and everyone thinking "damn, he only graduated five and a half years ago and already begining to lose his hair."

Well waiting in line I saw an old friend come out who graduated a couple years below me with way more recession that I did. He lost twice as much of his hairline then I have, not to mention I have 3 years on him. Then I got inside and took a look around to see how everyone else has aged. Suddenly I didn't feel so bad. I wasn't alone having recession in my temples at age 24. More then half of people I went to high school with had some sort of recession. Plus my overall hair was way thicker than most of the people in the bar. It occured to me that most guys who age through their twenties lose a bit of their temples. Yeah a lot guys still showed up with perfect hairlines, but lots of the guys who had recession showed up with a good looking girl under their arms and were in a serious relationship.

So, I realized I was taking my hairloss way too seriously. A lot of people I saw tonight were even already losing hair on the back of their head, mine is still perfect back there. The problem was that I was really busy with work(I work out of the home) and only watching TV to pass time. All the guys in their twenties on TV usually have a full set of hair. Unfortunately that is no where near reality. I been inside so much that I forgot that most people in their twenties have some sort of recession. I thought I was a minority of people losing their hairline in their twenties, but that ain't so. I'm around a norwood 2 and I was better off that so many other people around my age.

I want to share this because I see a lot of young guys posting their pictures and they have lost like 12 hairs on their head. Then post panics about super freaking out because they are only 18 or 19. I look at some of these photos and laugh because many people would kill to have their hairlines and they seem to be the most distressed around here. I also have seen other photos of people who are really losing their hair fast who are so young and they have my complete sympathy. I know it is tough for many people, but I think a lot of people here are taking their hairloss way too seriously. We know who they are. My hair thinned out around 19 and slowly receded for the next 5 year but you know what?? Those 5 years were still the best years of my life. I went off the college and with my "receded temples" I met tons of girls, had loads of fun and was a much happy person then when I was with a straight hairline.

Keep on your regimens to maintain what you have, then go back to your hometown when your 24-26 and find some of your old classmates. I gaurentee that you will be better off then 80% of the guys there.

My two cents.

Yes tynan, but how are their hairlines looking these days?

They have no hair to talk of, as I have made several wigs from what I harvested.

I have not seen any of my school friends since leaving, I moved away but I bet my bottom dollar I have more hair than most of them. I know 2 of them have gone bald but not sure about the others.

lol tynan..

yea elias you are right but... damn it's soo hard not to think about it when you're the only one around you experiencing this... im going to be 17 in 3 months...

i remember playing a lot of sports and going out a lot helped me keep my mind off of my hair falling out but that was when i still had a decent amount on my head... now its like a speck of light hits my head and my scalp shows through.

damn my main concern is maintaining and growing some new thick hair before i have my senior prom.

but thanks man.. your post did help me!

Whoa, pleasehelpme.

I just turned 18 a few days ago. My hair is definitely thinning, but it's not too bad yet.

I thought I had it bad, but you're only 16? I feel for you, man.

don't wanna f*** up my nuts... cuz isn't that the main reason people want hair? to look good... lookin good leads to fine laides. and that leads to lots of fuckin. whats the point if you cant enjoy the sex? can't take that risk buddy... so i'll stick with the weaker finasteride...

and thanks man.. wastingpenguins... lol. if you really feel for me you can donate some of your thick hair!
