I've Been On Finnasteride For 2.5 Months - How Much Longer Until Transplant?

I've been using it so far for 2.5 months and I've noticed no side effects - I have no sexual problems at all. I haven't regrown any hair though (I'm a NW2/3 vertex). I'm 29 years old - the hair on my crown is very thin and I have some moderate recession of the front temples.


How much longer should I wait to see if I have any regrowth before I should do a surgery? My hair loss has been very stable last 2 years with rogaine. Also how many grafts do you guys think I need for a good dense look overall?

Yo there's some potential for regrowth,, give finasteride at least an year

Well finasteride takes at least a year. I don’t know any docs in the US who would even operate on you. You are an N2 with N4+ diffusion thinning. The worst candidate for a transplant.

FUT would be your only option
