on the big three for me,well, big 2 cos i gave up the nizoral and although the progress is achingly slow,it is certainly getting there!

slowly but surely the crown is getting thicker and the little miniaturised hairs are cycling back in healthier and longer,im sure the foam and the long time on finasteride is doing this!

the hairline, hmm, well the vellus get longer but i think a hair transplant will be my best option for that, although ive not lost a single hair from the hairline i do have.....im sure someone might find this helpful, stick with the treatments, give them time and they work!

good stuff. Did u notice any thinning (shedding), then thickening up again?

yup loads!

had a 3 week shed which i think was minoxidil liquid, then around 11-16 weeks had what i think is the dreaded 11-16 week propecia shed, then one month after starting foam had a gigantic shed!

i did notice that after each initial shed on minoxidil (liquid and foam) that i would continue to shed more than usual but that it never took me below baseline, basically the minoxidil was doing its job but that i had enough progress to mask the continuing shed,if that makes sense?

definitely going to carry on as normal until 2 year mark and then see what if any improvements to my regimen needs to be made,i might get greedy and jump on dutasteride

i posted originally to basically encourage people who think treatments arent working or who are lacking perseverance to carry on,seriously do not give up and results will come! ive seen posts from other users from way back saying that real progress didnt kick in til 15/16 months and its very true

:D

dont' get the hair transplant until you see what a little dermatch can do to color those front vellus hairs. It is well worth the refundable $35 to potentially save $3,500+. I wish I could trade my front grafts for twice as many vellus hairs. I'd color them and have a shorter hair cut, but they would look thick and good, and I'd look so much younger.

well done for sticking at it for nearly 2 years mate

cheers man,i think im likely to continue with this regimen til 3 years, then 4 and so on etc ,basically until i think that propecia is no longer doing such a fine job, then i'll consider dutasteride. However it could be time for HM by the time Propecia doesnt work for me,at least i hope thats the case :D
