ok guys,i popped my first finpecia pill today :)
wish me good luck..i'm hoping i can maintain what i have until HM comes along
and this is what i have left on my head

i want my hairline to stay where it is.but i would like to regrow what i've lost at the temples
my regime would be 1 mg finpecia (CIPLA) everyday, and 2% nizoral 2-3 times a week
i need u guys to guide me here please
i'm not using minoxidil coz i've read about some guys getting back all their hair by using finasteride alone...how far is that true?i'm gonna wait for 3 months before i start using minoxidil for the temples(that is if finpecia can't give me my temple hair back)...i guess things r not too bad at the crown
so the question is..would introducing minoxidil after few months to my current regime have any adverse effects like increased shedding?keep in mind that i'm gonna use minoxidil only on the temples..nowhere else on my head..coz its easier to apply minoxidil to the temples everyday if i have to..i haven't lost too much all over my scalp
and finally, can u confirm from my pics that its male pattern baldness?i'm not too sure and i haven't seen any derms..there aren't any good ones in my region (india)
i bought finpecia 1 mg and didn't need any prescription for that
please drop in your much valued comments :)
regards

hi brian :)
i do a middle parting...something like brendan fraser (if thats how its spelt)
so the temples can't really be seen coz my hair covers it
but he who faces it knows first and best that he is losing hair :)

hey man, my hair looked like yours about 3 months ago!

if you think your losing your hair, and it seems thinner then going on propecia is probabaly the best thing you can do.

Do you have hair loss in your family? if so, your definatley doing the right thing..

expect some more hair loss b/c propecia doesnt work 100% for everyone and 10% of people dont get results at all.. not only that, but it doesnt work for minimum of 3 months for most people so the hair you lose from now until february may be gone for good.

but it should help slow down your hair loss.

good luck man!

Looks like male pattern baldness to me. Norwood 2 if Im not mistaken.
Now something you need to understand. You say your going to wait 3 months before you decide if you want to use minoxidil? Waste of time because you will probably not see any kind of results until at least 6 months and it can take 12 months. Im sure if you stick with your Finpecia and Nizoral regeime you will certainely maintain what you have now but regrowth on the temples is notoriously difficult even with Minoxidil (although using minoxidil will increase your chances).

well your crown, not sure, probably male pattern baldness, i say that because some people have large parting, so might be that, your hairline looks ok, anyway you would know if you have lost any, either way good time to start propecia,as you have nearly all your hair,

Finpecia is EXACTLY the same as Propecia. The only difference is Finpecia is made by Cipla and Propecia is made by Merck.
