Itchy scalp

Hey guys,

I'm suffering from an itchy scalp, in the crown as well as the top and corners of my scalp. Is this a dead giveaway of hair thinning? Should I start on Nizoral shampoo?

Thanks

If it's itching due to dandruff or scalp irritation then I guess yeah.

Sorry, could you be a little bit more specific?

What's the difference between itching due to dandruff or scalp irritation? I try to to itch the itchy parts, but when I do a little rub, dandruff does tend to fall out.

Is this just dirt? or DHT.

You should use it the 2 times a week as they suggest. For either reason it is worth it. I thought it also made my hair seem healthier.

Pimples, redness, and itchiness are all part of inflammation of the scalp which in future could potentially lead up to hair loss.

Add T-gel, and Nizoral shampoo to your arsenal.

Look into emu oil also

Hope this helps

Thanks, I will take a look at the Emu Oil. Where can I get a hold of Nizoral shampoo? Is it required that I use it everyday for the rest of my life like propecia? BTW, I don't use propecia.

Also, I don't have pimples or any noticeable redness on my scalp. Only itching, is still a bad sign?

Nizoral will control the scalp irritation, and inflammation due to the properties of ketoconazole.

Purchase it online or buy OTC at local drug store.

Thanks,

I will start browsing online, and will purchase. As far as starting on Nizoral shampoo is it ok to just use this for the moment, and then add finasteride and minoxidil down the road?

What I mean is that, I haven't started on the BIG 3 yet as my loss isn't bad, but is it ok to just use Nizoral shampoo as the first row of defence to combat the irritation, and then adding the other 2 later when I do encounter the loss?

Or is it best to just start using ALL 3 at once

People seem to not be reading between the lines as it all is presented on the internet. Sure, while your hair loss is not bad, please wait to start the big 3 until it is bad. Just remember 85% hair regrowth they say on Rogaine is regrowth in the hair you have that is on its way to dying......and MAYBE, the hairs you have lost that are now dormant the last few months. finasteride also decreases DHT so that you no longer have hair loss.....hopefully. Nizoral makes your scalp healthy so the other two will work better. Should you not want to save the hair you have now, since it is not bad yet, save for a transplant after you start the big 3.
