Hi everyone, i am a 22 yo guy. With receded temples as far as hairloss goes. Other wise i suffer from these tiny white balls that are stuck at the base of my hair follicles that started ever since i noticed my temples maturing and now it's annoying because some times my head and especially when i touch my crown area is tender , sore and very itchy. Also as i start to shower while getting my hair wet the crown area to the front itches so bad while im running water through it. Just a week ago i discovered thinning in my crown area before i noticed the thinning i used scracth that area and shampoo it alot. Now i'm just confused is this male pattern baldness or some other fungal thing. My hair is normal thickness i just have matured temples and now its my crown area thinning. I mean is male pattern baldness suppose to itch?

I have the same problem. Not tiny white balls unfortunately, but IMO its our good dear friend male pattern baldness knocking on your door.
If your head is itchy try dandruff shampoos. If your losing hair with it then treat it as male pattern baldness. If there is a relationship no one knows what it is.

I mean when i shower i dont really see lots or clumps of hair as some people say. Also on my pillow or bed is a normal amount of hair maybe like 10 hairs if i really focus. Does your crown area itch? Does it itch when you shower? This whole thing is confusing
If your not going bald just be thankful and learn to live with it. None of this stuff has any cure its just everyone guessing, and if anything works its just partially and temporarily. Most of medicine is just guessing.
Yes had that bad itch my whole life, and losing hair there coincidentally. Personally I think its male pattern baldness and being driven by hormones probably DHT which is exactly what causes male pattern baldness generally speaking.
If your a male, and your hair is thinning its just overwhelmingly male pattern baldness. I wouldnt even entertain other random theories like fungal, seb derm or whatever else. Its just male pattern baldness.
