nizoral 1% 3x weekly. Tues, Thurs, & Sun are my nizoral days. :)

Get yourself a 1 or 2oz. bottle of emu oil, it will last you a long time, all you need is a drop or two per application! The link I provided above for DDM Wholesale, is a great source for certified quality emu oil.

Wet your hair & scalp with warm water to open the pores. Put your nizoral into your palm, then add a few drops of emu oil to the nizoral. Apply it to your scalp and wash as usual, then let it sit on your scalp a good 5 - 10 minutes. Time it.

Rinse with cold water for about 2 minutes, every time you shampoo. This cools the skin and closes the pores.

Follow up with a quality conditioner, let it sit on your scalp for a couple of minutes. This may not be needed if the emu oil is doing it's thing, as it's an excellent moisturizer.

After you dry your hair, or when it is still a little damp, put a few drops of emu oil on your scalp, use a medicine dropper like minoxidil, just go easy as it's greasy if you over apply. Do it at night, and give it a little while to absorb before going to bed, otherwise your pillow will be wet looking.

Drop the topicals that aren't needed for hair growth (folligen, tricomin, etc). This will allow you to isolate the cause of your itch, if it is related to topicals. Sometimes copper peptides can cause more itching than they relieve. Once you are comfortable again, you can use the topicals again. Stick to your finasteride, minoxidil if you use it, and nizoral w/ emu oil.

Give this regimine a go, best I can come up with.. see how it works for a few weeks.

This regimine destroyed the itch I had on my crown/vertex (after my first few months on finasteride, the itching started... but it has 100% gone away with this regimine).

Also, try T/Sal (salycilic acid) and/or T/Gel (coal tar).. use those rotated into your regimine.. try the T/Sal as a pre-wash before using your nizoral, let the T/Sal sit on your scalp for about 1 minutes, don't overdue it.. start off once a week with it. T/Sal allows for the nizoral to penetrate better according to Dr. Lee.

Coal tar in T/Gel shampoo has also been shown to help with itch, use as directed.

Thanks very much ill give this a try. So things like Tricomin (shampoo and conditioner) ill just use in rotation with the nizoral, is that right?? don't use minoxidil yet.

Cheers

Don't count on any particular brand of shampoo to be a 'cure all', in regards to the Tricomin & Folligen lines especially. The copper is of little benefit in the shampoos & conditioners, because they don't stay on the scalp long enough.

Stick to nizoral, and some other store brand shampoos/conditioners.. no need to get the speciality stuff.
