Hey All,

Sorry for flooding the forum with all these questions about my scalp conditions, but i'm really trying to regulate things so that I can actually slow things down.

After stopping minoxidil 5 days ago I have seen my scalp heal up very nicely. The scabbing and flaking are almost completely gone. Hairloss is a bit less but not much.

However, I have used Nizoral 2 times in those last 5 days (one being tonite). Each time I have preceeded nizoral with TSal. I've notices my scalp extremely itchy after using nizoral. Any advice on this? Is it normal? Or is this something that I should be concerned about?

Thanks guys.

In my experience, each scalp responds differently. Try dropping the TSAL and just go with the 1% Nizoral. Also, if that doesn't work, vary the application time. Less than 5 minutes may be what you need.

Lastly, I am back to using Folligen Shampoo and Condtioner for the same reason. I have had the itchies lately and this product works very well for me. The NANO was getting to be a bit much I am afraid.

Good luck

Thanks guys.[/quote]

first let your scalp heal some more, folligen shapoo sounds good, baby shampoo? you know something light, deffinately a copper topical also,
it shouldn't take too long to regulate things again, than add the Nizoral,

Yeah I only leave the nizoral in for about 1-2 minutes now.

I ran a brush through my hair last night and out came big flakes. I hope that's the last of my scalp coming off from the harsh minoxidil madness. I ordered Folligen lotion and spray last night. If things continue I'll add the shampoo.

Bomb,

You really need to get yourself on a copper peptide spray. Any of the big three will do and I assure you you'll be mighty surprised at how quickly your scalp health improves. :freaked:

GREAT!

I don't have any personal experience with folligen but I hear mostly good things about it (I use ACR). I wouldn't hestitate to get on it myself.

Hi:
I'm from Montreal so my English is not perfect. I've been taking Proscar (1/4) for 2 months & 3 weeks now. I had problems with dandruff since day one. I bought Nizoral and was using it every 3 days...no other shampoos in between. I still had a lot of dandruff so I decided to buy TGel (2% Coal Tar) and started using it for the other days (Nizoral + TGel)
Three weeks ago I started to use TGel only and eliminated Nizoral from my regimen . I thought maybe I wasn't a good responder for Nizoral.
Sadly, I still have flakes even though I use TGel every day!!! (it says wash, rinse and then repeat application but I don't do it)
On top of that, I've read on this website that if I don't get rid of dandruff while I take Proscar there will be no improvement on my hair growth.
I noticed that I'm losing around 30+ hairs a day and no improvement at all.

Your advise will be VERY VERY appreciated

Thanx

Bombscience: Here's something that works for me. After using Nizoral, I towel dry my hair and only then use a conditioner. I use a lot of it, and let it stay there for at least 5 minutes. You may also want to add a leave-in conditioner.
