Hello. Just a simple question, if you know for a fact that you've lost some hair, it's a bit thinner than before. Is it 100% certain that it is because of male pattern hairloss or is there other causes? The reason I'm asking this is because this happened to me very suddenly at 16 years of age right as I went into a deep depression and stress, stopped working out and started eating junk food, and also started treating my hair very differently than before (first time using gel, wax, shampooing much more often, stopped using hats). I do have the genes for hairloss, although noone in my family started losing hair until at least 30 years of age. I also shedded alot when it started however the shedding has pretty much stopped since then. Writing this about 8 months after it all started, the shedding stopped about 3 months ago.

I've already had people checking out pictures of my hair, and it's always been different feedback, also my hair can look extremely different depending on lighting and more. my problem is hair thinning, not really the hairline. I'm not looking to get my hair evaluated since I already know it's a bit thinner than before as I said, I'm looking into causes right now, if the things I mentioned above might have had an effect on my hair or not.
