This condition is so frustrating! It appears to be anyone's guess why it starts. I had been through extreme stress for several years, I have rheumatoid arthritis, and am newly menopause status. Who knows why this happens.. all three conditions I mention above have been blamed.
I started with various size bald spots all over my head until I shaved it out of frustration from shedding all over the house. recently my eyelashes and eyebrows are thinning rapidly. all of my body hair is thinning.
I went to a dermatologist in october and received kenalog injections and minoxidil topical. About a month ago fine white hair began growing in some of my bald spots however some spots remain bald.
Any insight? Any hope?
