It is normal to shed more than usual in the beginning of finasteride?

So I just finished my first 30 tablet box of finasteride (Propecia brand name). Im 27 years old. I was on minoxidil since I was 21.
I have a diffuse type of hair loss (crown + top + hairline. temples are kinda ok).

last 2 years my hairloss went way more aggressive than before (thats why Ive decided to start finasteride). I am noticing now (after the first month) that my hair looks thinner than ever. So I just wanna ask - does this consider normal? Did it happen to any of you guys too?
I really hope that it is a sign for incoming growth of thicker hair but I'm kinda worried :\

BTW - no sides so far.. hope it will continue.

Thanks for the reply! I often feel like finasteride is not enough to fight hairloss. Wish we could attack this with more powerful treatments..

You could use dutasteride or try experimental treatments like RU if still losing ground on finasteride.
