Is Xandrox Crap?

I have been using Xandrox for the past 1.5yrs and it dawned on me recently that paying the extra dough for the Azleic Acid is a bunch of Bunk. I really don't understand how Lee can charge twice the price for Xandrox over his 5% minoxidil solution. In the time I have used the Xandrox product I have not seen significant regrowth on my temples and crown. I am sure it did have a positive effect but I did not see 100% DHT repression as he suggest Azleic acid effects.

Note that I am also on 1.25mg of Proscar a day and use Nizoral shampoo regularly. So I don't even know if I need more DHT suppression even if it does work as he says, which I doubt. I am not here to bash Lee as I like his products, I do believe he is a business man and Xandrox 5% is one of his biggest sellers. Why is 5% Xandrox $34 a bottle when his minoxidil with Retin A is $21 per bottle?? Aren't they similar ingrediants? Why should one cost so much more- more profit perhaps.

I have read on here as well that Xandrox is a 50/50 shot, some like it and others hate it. I guess the question is Does Azleic Acid show any benefit in the price justification??

Besides I already use Proscar and Nizoral for DHT control.

I don't use xandrox but my guess is the 5% may well be a waste of money.

A lot of people have success with the 12.5% lotion or 15% topical but I think the selling point is the high concentration of minoxidil, no the azelaic acid.

I actually reckon(but I'm only guessing) that Xandrox 5% is not a big seller for Dr Lee as your paying double for 5% minoxidil with a bit of unproven stuff in it. I'd say upgrade to 15% and see what that does for you. More expensive again but it comes in 125ml bottle and you only use it once a day, so its 4 months worth, actually making it cheaper than Xandrox 5%.

I am using the Xandrox 15% at night and the 5% in the day. Thinking of moving to regular 5% minoxidil in the day.

redbone,
Initially i was under the illusion from my mirror that xandrox 5 works. However, my pictures revealed a different story (I have had some improvements, but not significant. My brother saw me after 12 months and says I have grown significant hair). I am Norwood 5 now. Perhaps I was Norwood 6 or 7 before.
I have changed my regimen for cost effectiveness.
My current regiment
xandrox 2.5% 1ml (0.5 ml each of xandrox and minoxidil mixed) in the AM
minoxidil 5% at 5:00 pm 1ml
xandrox 15% at 10:00 pm 1ml
proscar 1/4 every day and nano shampoo four days a week, nizoral (Dr. Lee's ) three days a week.
Got a new hair cut and killed the combover and feel very good and received compliments from many saying the buzzed look is much better than the previous style.
I will wait till May 2006 after which I am going for hair transplant.
Dr. Poswal (from India, doing hair transplant at a good rate) recommended me to continue taking finasteride and using minoxidil even if i am going for hair transplant.
