I heard in the long-term topical spironolactone could be more dangerous for your body than taking Propecia orally? Is this true? Is this only if it's getting absorbed systemically?

Anyways, I hope you get this man, hit me back,

less than 2% of side effects and half over a year a transient are "dangerous" ??? :jackit:

are you retarded? Why do you always use that stupid jerking off smiley? Even when you have no point to prove?

And where do you pull this 2% number out of your *** from? I'd like to see a study where they tested topical spironolactone and found that only 2% have side effects, because that's what this topic is about.. NOT FINASTERIDE.

I swear some people only read what they want to read.

he's trying to refute the fact that propecia's side effects are extremely small which isn't even what this topic is about. he needs to learn to read.

i never said a study but i heard on the internet so that means it must be true. surely if the spironolactone is being absorbed systematically it can overall be as much if not more dangerous than oral finasteride... no?

Both human and animal trials indicate that topical spirnolactone is not absorbed sysemically to any signifcant extent. BTW, on paper at least, spironolactone is a much more potent antiandrogen than finasteride. However, our expereince is that it works little if any better. We use it because of the decreased incidence of side-effects. Not that finasteride is all that bad in this respect.
