With the more commonly described “diffuse thinningâ€￾ patient, in whom there is an equal degree of hair loss throughout the top, the patient certainly should be told that he will eventually lose all the hair contained within that area, unless he is in his 50?s or 60?s at the time of examination. Even hair loss treatment solutions, such as Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil), will not prevent it from eventually being lost.

I am only 18, and I think I am losing hair all over. If I look through the mirror I can see scalp through the hairs... :(

I will post pics tomorrow.

Someone better tell El Duterino! His hair is maintaining on RU alone and he has been battling hair loss for 14 years!! lol

I mean, surely if you can name even one or two people who disprove it... it's disproven... xD

Erm, well DHT can only attack the follicle if it can get to it. If you're inhibiting 5-alpha reductase type 2 then you're making that task difficult. If you block it with RU58841 or something and/or deactivate it with fluridil.. you're making the task even more impossible lol

Plus, treatments will improve dramatically in our lifetimes :)

Hoppi, I know you may not be the best person to ask since you try over a million different treatments... but... The only DHT reduction treatment I am taking is Proscar, Saw Palmetto, Nettle Extract and that is it. Other treatments I use for my hair loss is Nizoral and s shampoo with rosemary, tea tree and piroctone plamine.

I've noticed I am not using any growth stimulator. Can anyone reccomend me any? Just not Minoxidil.

I like Spectral RS :)

But it will leave your hair looking a bit gelled lol

And it is a yellowy colour.. but I like it!

Erm, also if you pound the receptors enough you probably won't need one, but then you may make the receptors more sensitive with time.
And I know I chop and change a lot, but my knowledge of treatments is still pretty good I think! :)

Oh, only lightly gelled, I wouldn't worry about it unless you have long hair (that's why I would be unsure about using it unless I cut my hair short).

Erm, and products like that.. yes I mean they may do something, but whether they will compare to the effects of copper peptides (like Folligen, Hair Signals, Tricomin, etc), Spectral RS, Prox-N, all that kind of stuff is debatable (and very unlikely).

A fair few people supplement with biotin and MSM, as they are well known to boost hair growth.

I would go for Spectral RS or a copper peptides based product if it were me :)

Prox-N as another option :)
