Sadly looking thru some old photos and was f*****g shocked. Im found a pic of me earlier this year. I was 41. I found another pic at age 38 or 39. I look like a totally different person. At 39 i got mistaken for 25 all the time. Now i look my age, which is 42. My hair has thinned by about 40%.
I began finasteride at age 36. Seemed to maintian for the most part. I began dutasteride when i was about 38. Since then my hairline has been decimated and the thickness is gone. The f*** happened?
Age? Or can adding dutasteride cause this. Ive heard others say dutasteride hurt their hairline, but i literally even look 10 years older now. Oh lordy lord lord what have i done

Hahaha. No i just wanted to hit male pattern baldness hard and use the Big 4. But i think dutasteride has done nothing to help at all. In my opinion of course

On the age look thing. I can tell you, for most people, there is a Twilight Zone you enter at 40. Like hair where you lose 40% density before the bald scare hits you. Same thing, incremental ageing characteristics are compounded enough to become shockingly obvious around that time. In addition to efforts to save your hair, you may want to consider initiating anti-aging protocols.

Grow your hair longer and we can talk.
Haha ive tried and its a fail. The temples look thin and whispy when long because that area has thinned so much. Nothing like how thick it was in the first pic. I just have that damn widows peak thats sticking around, temples keep getting worse.
@Jonnyyy
My sh*t started to go at 20 yrs old but i began finasteride off and on around 25 and didnt get real serious about being on it until 7 or 8 yrs ago. Seriously though, its like the more ive tried to fight it the worse it became. In the first pic i was only on finasteride. I jumped to Big 4 and thats when it all sped up. I would think that the BIG f*****g 4 would have helped me maintain. Father time wins again

I'm 21 and I'm way fuckin worse than you.

It's not called Duta, just called AGE! You won't be a NW0-1 all your life. Wake up, everyone age, everyone die.

sh*t. Sorry I dispassionately attempted to ostracize you back there, man. Damn pictures and their deceptive ways. Get right in the huddle, in that case. We don't stay very warm, for the lack of hair, but we hurt together, and that's what's meaningful.

On a serious note, I'm actually sorry to hear about your sides. And if it's any consolation, whatever I see in the second picture still looks good (from what the picture shows). It's often belabored with minoxidil that even with results they shouldn't be expected to last very long; it seems perfectly true with finasteride and dutasteride, also. Some people have the best of luck, some people not so much.

Thanks man!!
On a side note I got my caffeine shampoo in the other day.
(Maybe that'll bring the Glory Days back:rolleyes:)

Eagerly awaiting for these "protocols" - please elaborate.

Like hairloss, there is no magic bullet. Lifestyle, a few Rx meds, nutritional supplements, genetic analysis, blood tests. Caloric restriction, high intensity interval training, Mediterranean diet, metformin, telomerase activators, review alleles for defects and correct with meds or supplements, review blood work periodically and correct deficiencies. Don't drink, don't smoke, meditate, get 7-8 hours of good sleep every night. And yes, current science on antiaging is like topicals for hairloss-it's blown away by the power of nature's genetic design.

We
Shall
See.
;)

Human body isn't programed to last more than 60-70 years. You can see majority of 70+ people and their health state : pitiful.
Lost of functions, teeth, hair etc is normal it's called aging and this is the beginning of our future death.
Everyone will go through it so it's already seen ;) You won't be a NW1 till you die.
