So i noticed since the last year it seems my hairline gets receding. Im 24 y.o right now.
My crown isnt thinning as far as i know. My dad is ~55 y.o now, and he mentioned he has some hair loss problem but not really balding, no crown thinning too. I think he is in norwood 2 scale maybe. I dont know if im inheriting his gene in hairloss or something but since in univ i had no problem or worries about hairloss.

What stage of norwood scale im in? Is this balding or maturing hairline?

I attached a photo of my forehead, i dont know if i should post a photo from the sides too, let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks for your help,
I really appreciate it.

So in what norwood scale is this if its not maturing hairline? Does this need some kind of treatment? And if anybody else have something on their mind please feel free to chime in :)

What about both your grandpas? How was their hair? Do you have any uncle with hair loss? If everyone in your family has a NW2 after 50, I would suggest you to simply track your hair every 3 months with pictures and compare. Don't start taking meds if you aren't losing hair

My grandpa has been dead before i was born though. My oldest uncles (~60 y.o) has thinning hair, i mean almost-bald thin, but i think he is NW2/3 at worst. The only one i can really observe is my dad. I think he is around NW2 or worst case is NW3 at 55 y.o now. I dont lose hair excessively though. Never had a clump of hairs off when shampooing etc. So is it okay just to leave it without any treatment for now?

Thats a good idea, i will start today with my first picture. Gonna set a reminder for the next 3 month.

Edit: i want to mention none of my male family member has gone bald in their 20-50. Is it possible that this is how my hairline is and not some case of receding?

This is how my hair is if i dont pull my pony up. I dont know if this can be of any info, but thought would just put here just in case.

I definitely didnt have concern about receding hairline until today when my boss mentioned that my hairline looked receding.

With your family history and pics, I would simply monitor my hair. Take some good pics with good lighting and check again in three months. Some people would suggest you to get on treatment, but I find this false suggestion. Good luck

Okay thanks all for your answers.
So far there is 3 different answers here lol. If i pull my hair up, yes there is significant "v" forming, but if i dont 0ull my hair up, i cant say i look balding/thinning, or anything.

If anybody here still have some thoughts please let me know. I would love to hear more opinion :)
