Is this male pattern baldness?

No this ain't one of those recession or paranoid filled threads where guys desperately ask if they have male pattern baldness

My left side of the head is completely thinned out, something really weird since everywhere seems fine when dry.
male pattern baldness doesn't generally hit these areas and my dad, if I did inherit his pattern, doesn't have side loss.

Horrible photo I know but you can see the thinning, it actually goes down even further and it's noticeable in broad daylight.

I assume you rest your head on this side when you sleep ?
Has it always been like this ? Some people have naturally thin sides, mine have always been see-through, I can even see it on pictures where I'm ten years old, it hasn't moved since.

Do you have dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis or any skin condition ?

Cheers, spot on Vlatch I do rest my head on this side.
Honestly I never really noticed but when I did let my hair grow out more this side always sticked out because it was more thin.
I do have seborrheic dermatitis, severe dandruff and loads of acne lol, don't know if that can lead to this problem.

People who have seborrheic dermatitis frequently have thinner hair, even women. It doesn't cause male pattern baldness but it can make hair loss worse if left untreated.

I guess you already know which products to use but oh well, try shampoos or lotions containing these substances : ciclopirox olamine, piroctone olamine, salicylic acid (this is what works best for me), zinc pyrithione, ketoconazole, coal tar.

Your sides won't get thicker but the rest of your hair won't get thinner, but I would't worry right now if I were you, and ask a dermatologist to be sure.

Yep I did ask a derm like 2 weeks ago and she recommended keto. I've been on it but just wanted to be sure. So far so good, hairs seems way more healty, let's just see if this stabilizes.
Gonna see the other substances in other lotions
