Is this male pattern baldness or thin hair?

Hi all
Im 33 year old South Asian man and yesterday noticed my crown area had a lot of scalp showing. I then had shower and took another picture which seemed less extreme. Do you guys think I have male pattern baldness or is this thin hair?

Yes just bought Alpecin Double-Effect Caffeine Shampoo which should help with that.
I dont want to try Finasteride/ minoxidil due to possible side effects so there is anything else I should try?

yeah I want to see a dermatologist to get a proper diagnoises and treatment plan but with covid lockdown in UK it wont happen until summer! im dreading thinking about if I loose anymore by then. I loose mostly like 20-50 hairs a day at the moment.

I heard Piroctone Olamine is more effective then Ketoconazole on here. Is that not true?

People never want to talk about the downsides of universal healthcare. I have a buddy in Canada and it's the same thing over there. Shouldn't have to wait 6 months smh.

The wait is due to places being closed due to lockdown. I can get normal doctors appointment in a week but specialist hair loss clinics are closed due to covid
