Okay so i noticed a sudden on set of hair thinning. I went through sort of a traumatic stress event 4 months back. And noticed hair thinning overall after some time. It is primarily on the crown area.

Hair loss does not run in the family both my cousins on my moms and dads side have hair in their 50s. Although they are thinning but they still do. And none of them saw hair thinning in their 30s. I am 27.

I am also very bad on the nutritional side which i do plan to improve.

Your crown is thinning. Go ahead and improve your nutrition, but you might want to look into treatments as well

Have you ever seen a case where this kind of thinning is improved only by nutrition and vitamins? From whatever i read here i only see the conclusion that if youre having hair loss it just simply cannot be undone without the big 3

I think at some early point, (diffuse) thinners all thought it could be something like a deficiency of some sort. For a lucky few, that might have been the case and taking some supplements or eating iron rich food for instance fixed their problem. Realistically, I think the odds are against that and it’s way more likely it’s male pattern baldness. I’ve been there myself and I don’t want to sound rude, just trying to be realistic. Of course like hollow said, do improve your nutrition, that’s never a bad idea! And who knows, maybe that will help a little bit or even fix your hair problem. Just don’t expect too much from it.

It's really tough to tell. If it was sudden and it coincided with bad nutrition, stress, and lack of sleep it is a very likely possibility. Sorry for the ambiguous answer. What you can do is eat healthier, make sure you're getting your iron, collage, vitamins, etc. Sleep better, relax, do some LIGHT exercising and reassess in 3 months.

The bottom line is you need to get on treatments or you will continue to lose ground..might be fast..might be slow. Weigh up the pros and cons and make a decision thats right for you.

@hollow11 @Charlie Foxtrot do you guys consider this as an improvement
Hard to tell mate, I’d say it’s about the same as the last pictures but since the angle and lighting is different I’m not sure.

If you really believe it’s due to nutrition or lack of anything else, hold on to what you’re doing. If you have even the slightest doubt it might be male pattern baldness, visit a derm and look into treatment option like the big 3 indeed.

I know it makes you feel better just thinking it’s due to a lack of nutrition and it’s easily fixable, I’ve been there too. And although the truth hurts, it’s better to face it, not lie to yourself and look into some solutions if you want a chance at saving your hair!

Well let me give you a history.

My grandfather on my moms side is a norwood iv at the age of 75. He has three sons. Two of them in their 40s are norwood III. One of them is norwood VI but he is in his 50s.

My fathers side my grandfather was the ame norwood iv at the age of 70. My father is no more alive but has two brothers. One of them is norwood 0 in his late thirties. One of them is diffused norwood III in his late fifties.

I sufferred froma severe emotional trauma. I was almost paranoid as my friends say in the begining of august. I am already underweight. 56kgs 5.75 height. I am veryyy bad on the nutritional side. I hardly eat one time a day that also not much. For the past two months when i started treament i am on vitamins which i stopped for 15 days when they were finished.

Now when i went to the derma first he said youll have your full hair back. Gave me vitamins and foltene and misso serum. I followed on vitamins and foltene.

Now when i went back again after 2 months he was a little hesitant to say that ill have all of them back.

He gave me hairmax tropical (mino 5% and propecia) and foltene and vitamins. Asked me to have prp. Ive had one session of prp.

Now im reguarly taken vitamins and trying to regualte my diet as well.

Started going to the gym for the past 2 days and eating 6 meals a day with protein in each diet.

I havent started hairmax. Im a little hessitent because of the side effects also to keep on having it for a lifetime.

But i dont want to lose my hair.

What do you think of the situation now?

If the hair loss is stress-related, removing the stress, including stressing over the hair loss may allow your hair to grow back. Nutrition may help the appearance of your hair, but not balding. That is why you see homeless people, drug addicts and alcoholics with thick heads of hair. Extreme malnutrition can lead to hair loss (Anorexia, etc).

I would chill out, do some meditation, and see how it goes. Improving your nutrition is never a bad idea.
