Hello, I’ve been dealing with hair loss for the past year now. It started with me noticing a few extra strands. I went to a derm and he said that it could be male pattern baldness or stress induced hair loss. I do have a history of being stressed, and learning that I may have male pattern baldness really spiked my stress levels. I was really stressed and borderline depressed for about 2 months, and I noticed an increase in hair loss. Now I’m doing better. I shaved my head to help address some pimples and scalp issues, and noticed a weird pattern with my hair density. In the pic below you can see that the hair line is noticeably dense but the area behind it isn’t. There’s also these two lines of dense hair noted with red circles. Is this consistent with male pattern baldness or is it stress induced? Also my hairline does seem to show recession, but it’s been at the same place for the past 4 months now. Current treatment includes biotin, probiotic, calcium/zinc supp, laser helmet, Redensyl based serum, and regular exercise. Thank you!

Looks like classic male pattern baldness. Your density is not uniform all over. Do you have any photos with your hair grown out?

I don't understand why you would shave it. Your hair looks perfect in that photo. From what I learned so far on this forum is you need to show a current photo of your head shaved(if you have one) and a current photo when it's grown out to see the difference. You have great density. You shaved your head too much.

Thank you, I mainly shaved to address some inflamed spots on my scalp and supposedly laser treatment works better with a shaved head. Although density looks good, I was noticing some sparse areas when I parted hair while combing.
