Is this a normal crown, or am I balding?
I am 28 years old, my father is 60, with a full head of hair (just high temples). I also have high temples, and have thinned a little on my fringe. But my hair is relatively thick all over still.
Should I start rogaime foam?

Hi,;

In my opinion you have a good hair.

be cautious if you begin with minoxidil.

Keep an eye on it for a few months, if it gets progressively worse you might consider getting on propecia and/or foam.

If you are really concerned and feel you want to do something. I would first see a doctor and see what they think. I would go with Revivogen and Laser therapy if you feel you have to do something at this point. I would not start with Propecia or Rogaine. I had mild thinning and was doing great with Revivogen and Laser Comb and then came on these forums got greedy and started the big 3, stopped Revivogen and 2 years later my hair changed dramatically very fast for the worse and still have never got back to baseline. Hold off on those meds until you see a doctor that says you need them.

House, during those first two years you switched to Big 3 were you improving? Then all of a sudden they stopped working and you lost all your gains? Or did they never really work that well from the start?

Do you have any before/after/current pics anywhere we could check out?

Treeshrew ,If you remember it was not until the 6 or 7 months of the big 3 that things got worse. I got a little better 6 months later but then it would get worse because of the hair cycle and shedding. It also drastically changed the texture of my hair. I honestly think Propecia made my receptors more sensitive and caused this change. Otherwise the rogaine caused major shedding that didn't help my situation. I have pictures of before the big three and now and I would say things never got back to baseline but they are not bad. I just lost the density and thickness I used to have. I did the best at the beginning with the laser comb and Revivogen. I messed with my hormones and that was a bad idea. My doctor still considers me a NW1( I would say 1.5 but since there is no such thing its still considered NW1 until I go to NW2) with some diffuse thinning. She says most people don't go on Propecia until they are NW2. I thought at the worse case scenerio I would just thicken and maintain with it but it must have made my hormones go bonkers and cause my receptors to increase sensitivity and trigger more thinning faster than usual. I cut down to .5mg of Propecia now and I am hoping some good will come of it.
