Is This A Maturing Hairline? Or Is It The Same.

I know I've posted before and get the log off response but I'm just worried theres a difference. Here are two pics exactly 5 years apart...my hair may be a little longer in the older pic I dunno. Should I worry or does it look pretty much the same.also if I take finasteride will it keep what I have? Every other time I've posted people said they had no before pics to compare.

lol dude your hairline is perfect. it's maturing is all. that's not miniaturization in the sense of receding or thinning--that's just what happens as your hairline matures between age 17-29. trust me your hairline is god tier

I also want to add that I've been thru extreme stresses as you can see I lost weight....stressors are lost my grandpa and put my 14 year old dog down two years ago....and three months ago my father had a major stroke....it really has taken an emotional toll the past few years.....this started after all that.

you gotta relax man honestly there is no difference between your hairline between the two pictures you posted. it's all in your head. stress is not gonna cause you to lose noticeable hair loss in most cases. your hairline is better than most 18 year olds

Well tbh I just can't stop worrying about hairloss as do alot of guys. Even the non balding apparently....my father and maternal grandfather are classic nw6, I can't be lucky enough to not be affected, I think that's what drives me to obsessing over the future. As you realize things about mortality alot more.....I think this created my bdd. I in no way am trolling I just have legit worries, wish I could stop this obsession.

do yourself a favor and google norwood 2. until you start looking like that, relax, get off this forum, and live your life. you'd actually look better with some recession at your age anyway. you have no idea what people who actually suffer from male pattern baldness would think about a guy like you complaining/worrying. you have zero recession whatsoever, almost an anomaly

I wish it was that easy.....but I get that right now I may be an anomaly but I'm just not that lucky, like my dad and my grandpa were both nw6, my mom brother is sparse nw6, I had an older brother who passed away at 23, I was 18, he was probably nw1 ot nw0 but won't ever know what he would've been.....my cousin from my mom's side isnbald at 36 nw6 and hates life he visited a few years ago and couldn't stop saying I was lucky and he got gpas sh*t genetics.....basically everybody male was. Fukkked. My dad's brothers had decent hair being middle eastern but his was the worst out of his 5 brothers.... I just dont think I'm that lucky. So I convince myself I'm losing it. Everytime I see a she'd hair from over obsessing.

Gotcha. The thing is though that counting hairs is pointless. If your hairline doesn't change shape to a V or close to it, nothing is happening. If you're worried about being a diffuse thinner, just ask someone else to monitor your density maybe every few months, because you clearly have bdd or something. Worrying over something that can or may not happen at any time is pointless. Accept it may happen down the line at some point and move on.

Thanks your right, and I think I'd be a diffuser, that's what my dad is. He has little hairs all over the top and thick sides and temples. Diffusing is so tricky to catch too, so that brings anxiety too. I tell myself I might as well take finasteride to make sure I keep my hair.

Here's a pic before I buzzed it i feel my density was good but that one side might've been receding. So i buzzed it....then thought maybe I'm diffusing. I need to learn how to manage my bdd and learn to let things go...
