I'm new here. I just noticed the crown area to have this cowlick on it. For some reason I'm freaking out about the fact that it may be a bald spot that's thinning, etc. My hair is a huge part of my style, appearance, etc. I am a fitness model and am devastated at the thought of losing it. Can someone please give me some insight on this!? Thanks in advance. I attached 2 pictures to this thread.

Thanks for the quick reply. I also noticed that under EXTREME lighting it looks a bit more scary than in those pictures? I feel as if I am overreacting though, haha.

If you'd like to get more opinions, I would consider posting the pictures under extreme lighting. I think that may also help those who might be having same concerns.

Alright here are some under extreme bright lighting. My hair has always been thin even when I was really young. Not thin as in bald-ish spots but rather thin in the way that certain hairstyles are hard to acquire even if I have alot of hair. Currently my hairstyle consists of a faux-hawk. Which suits me perfectly. Anyway, it seems a bit more apparent within these extreme lighting pictures.

Well, even under extreme bright lighting, I don't think it's something most people will notice. The scalp on the whirl seems to be more noticeable, but I don't think it's something to worry about for now.

it truly is hard to say. ppl in 4th grade said my double cowlicks were bald spots. so who knows. if you have no baseline comparison photo its hard to say. maybe a dermatologist could say.
