Is there such a thing as an NW3 Mature Hairline?

I know many folk believe a mature hairline hovers around the NW2 mark - I do too. However, I saw a picture of my friends father when he was younger he was a straight up NW3 at 22 and now at 50 he still has the exact same.

Is it possible?

Also for people who are balding, is the horseshoe the final destination for all, or do some stop at say NW5/6?

A mature hairline is hairloss as well. My father was NW2,5 at my age and now NW3 (67 years old now) while some of his friends at the time were NW1 and now NW6, or in that range. Anything is possible.

yes a mature hair line does mean some hair has gone but equally some guys keep the mature hair line seemingly indefinitely so it could be thought of as losing a bit of puppy fat

A U shape is male pattern baldness, and is not a mature hairline.

So are you saying Pierce Brosnan has hair loss then as I would call his a regular hair line?

Since there is no such thing as mature hairline you can say a Norwood 3 is one too since all the terms are made up anyway. Hair loss can stop by itself but whether its Norwood 2, 3 or 5 its all hair loss and male pattern baldness in the end. If you had 1 terminal hair on your head somewhere and later it was tiny miniturized hair then you suffered hair loss and male pattern baldness. Maybe its not severe but that is the definition of hair loss if the hair doesnt cycle back to terminal
I do not buy into the theory that aging or anything else causes male pattern baldness except androgens, and whatever deeper layers of the problem tell us. Right now androgens are 99 percent responsible for all male pattern baldness. Nothing else.

So to me brosnan has male pattern baldness if he used to have hair there before. Maybe it stopped by itself, but that doesnt change what happened.
