What's going on with the short hairs at your hairline? It looks like you have a transplant growing in.

A lot of Mexicans, blacks and Asains get that kind of line up. Tell your barber to stop otherwise it's impossible to monitor miniturisation.

That's a technique many barbers use typically for guys with longer hair who tie it back. it can look super clean at times

Could you maybe find a photo which shows this done well? I'd look myself but wouldn't know what to search for.

I agree that this is going to make it hard to see miniaturising hairs.

It is suitable for people who have good hairlines.

white people can do it too it really just depends on if you have good enough hairline or not.

still looks ugly to me

if you have a good hairline, you don't need to put on a "fake" one like this, you just let your hairline be
I think it looks cool on certain people. It doesn't really put on a fake one, it's supposed to show off the hairline while avoiding traction alopecia at the same time. The hairs at the hairline are the most sensitive and prone to traction alopecia (as the skin at the hairline is more sensitive and different from the scalp skin), so it makes sense to use the hairs behind the hairline.
